After crossing the Rs 100-crore milestone worldwide, Aanand L Rai's Tanu Weds Manu Returns, is nearing the figure at the domestic box office as well. The film has made Rs 85 crore in India since its release last Friday.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted:
The laugh riot, starring Kangana Ranaut, Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan, crossed Rs 100 crore worldwide yesterday.
Shoojit Sircar's Piku, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, has also buoyed-up the box office collections by minting Rs 75 crore at last count.
Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do, featuring Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar and Anushka Sharma and Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan, starring Salman Khan, are likely to keep the box office graph upwardly mobile in June and July.
