New Delhi: In 2011 Tanu Weds Manu was a sleeper hit, but it's sequel Tanu Weds Manu Returns, which hit the screens on May 22, is a super-hit film, according to trade analysts. The film starring Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan, has collected Rs 8 crore on the opening day.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted:

The Aanand L rai-directed film opened to fabulous reviews, and critics especially praised the film's lead star Kangana Ranaut.

In his review for NDTV, Saibal Chatterjee said: "Kangana Ranaut, in a magnificently effective double role, powers the comic drama forward with an effortless act that requires her to embody two diametrically divergent faces of Eve in small-town India." (Movie Review: Tanu Weds Manu Returns)
