Tanuj says he likes being pampered by his mother
New Delhi:
Bollywood's newcomer Tanuj Virwani, who will be seen in forthcoming film Purani Jeans, says he is a "mamma's boy". (Also read: All films are a reflection and product of our times: Tanuj)
Directed by Tanushri Chatterji Bassu, the film releases on May 2 in Indian theatres.
The 26-year-old says he's the only child and gets pampered at home by his mother and actress Rati Agnihotri who makes him his favourite chocolate Oreo milk shake when he comes home after a tiring day.
"I think I'm quite a mamma's boy. I don't have a sibling. I'm the only one. So I get spoiled and pampered at home," Tanuj said in a telephonic interview with IANS.
"It always feels nice when you come home at the end of a tiring day and mom gives me something nice to eat or she'll make my favourite Oreo cookie shake. It feels really special. It's the thought that counts," added the actor.
His mom not only pampers him, she also helps him in the promotion of his film.
Meanwhile Tanuj clarifies that his mother didn't feature in his debut Love U Soniyo and things have been wrongly reported in the past.
Purani Jeans is the first film in which Tanuj is sharing the screen space with his mother.
"I started shooting the scenes of my film Purani Jeans with my mom. I was a bit nervous with the shoots, but I reasoned with myself and thought that I can use this off screen chemistry I share with my mother as an advantage and boss up the scene. I tried to treat my mother like I would any other co-star in the movie."
When asked whether he will be seen with his mother again in films, he said: "This isn't my last film. There is no hard and fast rule that she has to be in every film of mine. I'll sure be doing a lot of films where she is not going to be a part of it."
