Twilight star Taylor Lautner is set to join forces with Milk director Gus Van Sant for an upcoming independent movie.
The 19-year-old actor is close to tying up a deal to team up with the director, who helmed Milk and film Restless, on a project based on a non-fiction article in a magazine, Contactmusic reported.
The motion picture is set to be produced via the Abduction star's Quick Six production company, which he runs with his father Dan Lautner.
And, it is also believed that Taylor is keen for his acting career to go in a different direction after starring in the Twilight franchise since 2008, with the penultimate movie in the vampire series, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 1.
The flick is set to hit the big screen on November 18.
