Country singer Taylor Swift prefersnot to pay attention to all the negative and positive feedbackcoming her way as it may lead her to insanity.
The 23-year-old singer does not like to obsess aboutherself by regularly reading about her life and music,reported Contactmusic.
"You can be obsessed with the bad things people say andthe good things, either way you're obsessed with yourself andI'm not - you can become unhinged so easily," Swift said.
"Vanity can apply to both insecurity and egotism. So Idistance myself, because I feel everything. The little I amexposed to hurts my feelings. The only things I can reallycontrol are my songs and my behaviour. The rest? If I focusedon it that would lead to insanity," she added.
The Love Story hitmaker insists that despite criticisms,a celebrity can still prove to be a good role model."There's room for role models who make mistakes. There'sclearly room for role models who are made fun of at awardshows," she said.
"Not that I necessarily enjoy being poked fun at, butthat's gonna happen to the fans, too. Whether in a boardmeeting or in school or on Facebook, where they'll gethumiliated publicly," she added.
