Los Angeles:
Country star Taylor Swift has teamed up with cosmetics giant Elizabeth Arden to create her own fragrance.
The 20-year-old Grammy winning star said yes to the offer when she came to know that Arden has bottled scents for Britney Spears and Mariah Carey in the past, reported People magazine online.
"Lately I've been having fun experimenting with combining some of my favorite scents, so I'm really excitedabout working with Elizabeth Arden to develop my own unique fragrance," said the Love Story hitmaker.
The singer said that she will be totally involved in the development of the scent including packaging andadvertising.
"I have always loved how fragrance can shape a memory. The way certain scents remind you of events and people that are imprinted in your thoughts," she said.
The announcement came in the middle of Swift's promotional marathon for her latest album Speak Now. Led by single Mine, the third studio album was released on October 25 and is expected to reign the Billboard Hot 200 chart this week.
