London:
Country singer Taylor Swift uses her personal life as an inspiration for her music.
The 20-year-old star - who had dated Twilight actor Taylor Lautner and was famously dumped by Joe Jonas over the phone - wishes she could be as honest in person as she is in her lyrics, reports contactmusic.com.
"Everything that happens to me gets put into a song. For some reason, I'm really comfortable talking about my personal life in songs. There, I don't hold back - names, dates, times, expressions on people's faces, exactly where we were and how it felt, what I wish I would have said to them in the moment," she said.
However, Swift admitted although writing songs about her heartbreak is therapeutic, she feels "vulnerable" when she listens back to the lyrics.
"I've written all the songs on my album about things that have happened over the last two years, and a lot has happened over the last two years. It's been very eventful, a lot of adventures and misadventures. I have a lot fun doing this and getting to write songs about what happens in my life, but putting it all out there in your music - all the details - you're taking a chance with that because you are very vulnerable," she said.
