Comedian Brahmanandam, TV anchors Suma were raided by the officials
New Delhi:
Income tax officials conducted searches in the houses of Telugu film and television celebrities on Thursday in Hyderabad. Comedian Brahmanandam, TV anchors Suma, Jhansi and Omkar, and singers Geeta Madhuri and Sunita were raided by the officials simultaneously. Raids began at 12pm and were conducted by 40 tax officials.
The officials seized account books, bank account details and other related documents belonging to the celebrities, besides noting down their income particulars.
This is the first time so many actors have been raided together.
