Southern actress Navneet Kaur tied the knot with Maharashtra MLA Ravi Rana in Amravati at a mass wedding ceremony where 3200 couples exchanged wedding vows.
This is the first time that an actress has got married in a mass marriage ceremony. Navneet, who hails from Punjab, mainly acts in Telugu films.
The wedding ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, industry minister Narayan Rane, Baba Ramdev, Chairman of Sahara Group Subroto Roy and actors Vivek and Suresh Oberoi among others.
Twenty-eight-year-old Rana and Navneet met at one of Baba Ramdev's yoga camp.
Couples from all over Vidarbha, region infamous for farmer suicides, had come down to tie the knot at the multi religious ceremony.
