Thane girl Jayshree Kharpade's documentary, that won rave reviews for projecting the lives of brick kiln workers' children, has been nominated for MYHERO international film festival this year.
MLA from Thane district and Shramjivi Sangathanafounder Vivek Pandit today said he has received acommunication from Daniel Chavez, an officer from The MY HEROInternational Film Festival, that documentary film Fire InOur Hearts has been accepted as a finalist in their 2012event.
"Your work will be celebrated online in our 2012Festival finalist's page. All finalists will be promoted aspart of our ever-growing Global Hero Archive. Over the nextfew weeks, our panel of judges will finalise their votes, andwe plan to notify award winners in each category by November30th," the message received by Pandit stated.
"We will be screening a small selection of winningfilms at our festival awards ceremony on December 15 at theUniversity of Southern California's Ray Stark Theatre," themessage added.
MY HERO Project was founded in 1995. Thenot-for-profit website was built on the belief that people ofall ages from around the world would participate by sharingstories, art, and short films that illuminate heroes from allwalks of life.
