New Delhi:
The newlywed Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput wound up their wedding festivities in Delhi with a reception at the Oberoi hotel in Gurgaon on July 7. Earlier in the day, they were married in an intimate affair attended by just 50-odd guests. The gathering at the after-party was 10 times larger, with about 500 or so guests invited.
At the reception, Shahid looked dashing in formals, while Mira shone in embellished couture with a sheer overlay. Shahid's actor-father Pankaj Kapur was close at hand, an attentive host introducing his new bahu to guests.
Shahid, who posted a selfie with his new bride on social media before the party, posed for pictures with his guests. Here with fashion designer Priyanka Khosla.
The after party was once again a 'friends and family only' affair, with the actor's Bollywood colleagues largely excluded except for a select few - designer Masaba Gupta and her producer-husband Madhu Mantena, choreographer Bosco Martis, designer Kunal Rawal and photographer Roishan Shrestha were on the guest list:
Shahid and Mira got married as per traditional Punjabi rituals, after which they officially met the press as Mr and Mrs Kapoor. Shahid will reportedly host a reception for his Bollywood buddies in Mumbai on July 12.
