On Saif Ali Khan's 51st birthday, television host and celebrated chef Maria Goretti shared an old interview from her MTV days and not just any interview. It was the "funniest interview" she did (or so she wrote in her latest Instagram post, which is a birthday greeting of sorts for Saif Ali Khan. Here's what happened, Maria asked Saif about his film Rehna Hai Ter Dil Mein with Madhavan and Dia Mirza and he ended up talking about Dil Chahta Hai (starring Akshaye Khanna and Aamir Khan). They did eventually realise that the topic of discussion was not the same. During the interview, Maria asked Saif, "Can I exchange jobs with you or something?" Saif's reply was: "Yea, I mean you know." A second later, he added, "No, of course not." Sharing the snippet, Maria wrote: "A tiny bit of the funniest interview I did. Not because it was haha funny. But because I was interviewing Saif Ali Khan for Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein but he was talking about Dil Chahta Hai and somewhere down the line, we both figured that we are not talking about the same film."
After the confusion, here's what happened in Maria Goretti's words: "It was a Sunday and neither of us wanted to do the interview all over again... So we wrapped it up, said our thankyous and byes, and that's that! I don't think anyone noticed hahaha... But you can just imagine how much I loved my job at MTV Indian that I was willing to work on a Sunday." She signed off the post with these words: "The fact that Saif also lived 15 minutes away from me and I have always been a huge fan, really helped." She added the hashtags #televisionhost, #mtvvj, #mtvindia and #happybirthday.
