The makers of Kill Dil have taken the film's title a bit too seriously. The second song from the movie titled Happy Budday is anything but imaginative and interesting.
Sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Shankar Mahadevan, the song fails to make an impression. The music, given by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, is mundane and the lyrics, penned by Gulzar, are insipid, making it perhaps the last thing anyone should dare play at a birthday party.
The number starts with Ranveer Singh making a grand entry to disrupt his Sweeta Parineeti Chopra's private birthday celebrations with his 'partner-in-crime' Ali Zafar, trying to impress her with his dance moves and loads of cake.
Some trivia - In order to arrange for 600 cakes for this song, Ranveer sent the entire crew of the film out shopping. He came up with the idea of using cakes, as no birthday celebration is complete without one.
Kill Dil, directed by Shaad Ali, also features actor Govinda and will release on November 14.
