New Delhi: The world lost actor Alan Rickman and rock star David Bowie this week. Both were claimed by cancer within days of each other. Both were 69. Among the many tributes to each is an endearing one from cult cartoon series The Simpsons, which pays homage to both lost legends with a little help from Sherlock Holmes.

The video, which will feature in an upcoming episode of the show, parodies two of Mr Rickman's best known films - Love, Actually and the Harry Potter franchise. It shows Homer, Bart and friends watching 'Love, Indubitably' on TV. It appears to be a finale scene in which the British Prime Minister, voiced by Sherlock actor Benedict Cumberbatch, interrupts Parliament to declare his love for his secretary.(Also Read: Daniel Radcliffe's Touching Tribute to 'Professor' Alan Rickman Snape)

They embrace on the floor of the House of Commons, as David Bowie's All The Young Dudes begins to play. Alan Rickman then appears as Professor Snape from Harry Potter and intones, "Love is more powerful than all my magic."

In 2003 hit Love, Actually, Alan Rickman's character enters a flirtation with his secretary. In a separate story arc, the Prime Minister (played by Hugh Grant) falls in love with one of the housekeeping staff of 10, Downing Street.
