London: Actor Gunnar Hansen, best- known for his role in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, died on November 7 due to pancreatic cancer. He was 68.
Mr Hansen, who lived in Reykjavik, moved to Maine with his family when he was five. The actor completed his education from Texas, reported .
He died at his home in Maine, where he lived for 40 years, said his agent.
In The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Mr Hansen played the role of Leatherface, who wore a mask made of his victim's skin and used a chainsaw as his weapon.
The actor also featured in films like Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers, Mosquito, Hatred of a Minute and Texas Chainsaw 3D. Moreover, he has also worked as a magazine editor and written several screenplays, books and documentaries.
