The smitten singer said that being engaged has made "everything better". She said, "It makes everything better. When you're in love and have love it makes everything better."
Fans wanting to catch a glimpse of Lady Gaga's engagement ring at Oscars were left disappointed as she teamed her custom-made Azzedine Alaia gown with red gloves, but insisted it wasn't a deliberate move to hide the jewellery.
"Mr Alaia designed the gloves before we got engaged and I wanted to keep the look exactly as he envisioned it," she said.
Actor Taylor Kinney proposed to singer Lady Gaga with a candy ring, before bringing out the real diamond one.

"First he gave me a Ring Pop. That was kind of amazing and I was crying, I was so excited. I said, 'Yes' right away and then he pulled out the heart-shaped diamond. First it was candy.
