Actor-singer Himesh Reshammiya's The Xpose has collected over Rs 10 crores in India in three days. (Also read: Movie Review: The Xpose)
"The Xpose (has collected) Rs 10.97 crores nett India business," trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted on Twitter on Monday.
Directed by Ananth Mahadevan, The Xpose also stars Irrfan, Sonali Raut, Zoya Afroz and rapper-composer Honey Singh, who makes his acting debut with the thriller, which reportedly hit 800 screens in India on Friday.
Based on the violent birth of Bangladesh, Children of War, directed by Mrityunjay Devvrat too released on the same day, but got a dull opening at the box office.
"The box office collection of the film is negligible. The curiosity level was not high. And the serious subject is meant for a limited audience," Rajesh Thadani of Multimedia Combines told IANS.
He also said that the romantic suspense thriller M3 - Midsummer Midnight Mumbai also did "negligible" business during the weekend.
