The condition of renownedMalayalam film actor Thilakan, hospitalised here followingheart attack, continued to be serious today.
Hospital sources said the 76 year-old actor, admitted to aprivate hospital on August 23, continued to be on ventilatorsupport and his condition was still serious.
State Health Minister V S Sivakumar, who visited the actor,said doctors had told him that there was a 'slight progress'in Thilakan's condition.
He said the government would bear the expenses for theactor's treatment. Thilakan would be provided the besttreatment available, he added.
Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan, directors Sibi Malayiland Kamal, actors Suresh Gopi, Maniyanpilla Raju and otherfilm personalities visited the actor at the hospital.
