New Delhi:
It's not quite Rang Barse but, coming as it does in the wake of the blasts in Brussels, the message in this new Holi song couldn't be more timely or important. Spread love and unity and not just colour this Holi, say seven singers, including Sukhwinder Singh and Shaan, in a song titled Deewarein.
Uploaded on YouTube channel The Moody Nation, the other singers featured are Kunal Ganjawala, Javed Ali, Suraj Jagan, Ash King and Jonita Gandhi. In the video, children representing various colours are locked behind bars. It depicts how intolerance has created a strong divide among communities and disrupted peace.
Freedom and unity for the colours, and all of us, is what the song advocates.
The video has been directed by Vinay Jaiswal. Vinay has also written the lyrics and composed music for the song. It was released online on March 22.
