Anushka's first brush with Sanjay Dutt dates back to 2003 film Munna Bhai MBBS

Actress Anushka Sharma was directed by Rajkumar Hirani in last year's blockbuster PK, which featured Sanjay Dutt in a small role, but it appears that her very first brush with both co-star and director dates back to 2003 film Munna Bhai MBBS.
A still from the movie has been excavated and has been doing the rounds of social media. It shows Sanjay Dutt, who starred as the titular Munna Bhai, striding past a hoarding across which Anushka's face is plastered. In 2003, Anushka was still modelling and her Bollywood debut was five years away. .

In 2008, Anushka made a splashy debut in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi opposite Shah Rukh Khan. In PK, she appeared opposite SRK's fellow Khan Aamir who played a displaced alien struggling with notions of religion. Anushka's performance as a journalist named Jagat Janini was singled out for praise by critics.
PK broke box office records when it released last year. Last month, a dubbed version was released in China where it made history by making over Rs 100 crores in a single country abroad. The Munna Bhai films, of which there are two with a third one planned for when incarcerated actor Sanjay Dutt leaves jail, were also wildly popular.
