SRK and Salman renewed their friendship last November after a six-year long feud
New Delhi:
They're facing off at the box office in 2016 and didn't reunite for Congress leader Baba Siddiqui's iftaar party this year, but Shah Rukh and Salman's tweet exchange on Eid shows that the Khans intend to stay friends.
On Twitter, Salman announced the coming of a 'Raees' and called upon his fans to enjoy the teaser of the film, starring SRK, which released on July 16. SRK, who is filming Dilwale in Bulgaria, promptly replied that he wouldn't be able to make it and requested Salman to home-deliver biryani for his children back home in Mumbai.
The same evening, at a promotional event for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, when Salman was asked whether he would oblige his fellow Khan, the actor quipped, "Haan main biryani bhijwa doonga. (Yes I will send the biryani across)."
Salman, who had spelt out the name 'Raees' one alphabet at a time in a string of tweets, also clarified that he had missed out the 'e' by mistake:
The bonhomie between the Khans pleased their fans to end. Here's what they wrote on Twitter:
Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees which co-stars Pakistani actress Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, will tentatively hit screens in Eid 2016, the same time as Salman's Sultan.
SRK and Salman, both 49, renewed their friendship last November after a six-year long feud that they conducted publicly. In May, it was SRK who revealed the first semi-look of Salman as Bajrangi Bhaijaan on Twitter. Salman has returned the favour, it seems.
