Fatima Sana Shaikh in Mumbai
New Delhi: Dangal actress
Fatima Sana Shaikh won't sign any new film or post on social media until she wraps up the shooting of
Thugs Of Hindostan, reports
mid-day.
Fatima has been trolled several times in the past for her choice of dress and this is the reason why producer Aditya Chopra, who is apparently miffed, has laid down these rules for her. "Fatima has been told to not sign another film until this one is over. She isn't allowed to post on social media, or attend important events. Hence, you don't see her at many functions either," a source told
mid-day. Apart from Fatima,
Thugs Of Hindostan stars Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.
However, Fatima isn't upset with the restrictions and she has happily obliged to them. "Fatima is willing to listen to Adi, given that this film is important for her. Also, it revolves around her character, and she believes she'll be able to showcase her talent by paying heed to his suggestions," the source told
mid-day.
Earlier this year, a picture of Fatima, dressed as a warrior and reported to be from a look test for the film, went crazy viral.
Of her appearance in the film, the source told
mid-day, "Fatima will be seen in a new avatar, one that's drastically different from her look in
Dangal. She will sport traditional attire and long hair. She will also be seen performing sword-fighting. Hence, Fatima only wishes to focus on her act."
Fatima Sana Shaikh played wrestler Geeta Phogat in last year's blockbuster release
Dangal. Team
Thugs Of Hindostan shot in Malta for the film a few months ago.
Thugs Of Hindostan is scheduled to release next year in November.
