They have been together for thepast nine years but Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter havenever shared a roof. The reason according to the actress isthe director's loud snoring and weird sleeping habits.
The 44-year-old actress and her partner live inneighbouring houses with a connecting doorway and she likesthe unique arrangement, reported Daily Mail online.
"Tim does snore, and that's an element. We've triedlots of remedies that don't work. He has a deviated septum anddoesn't want an operation," said the actress who played theevil Red Queen in the hit 'Alice in Wonderland' directed byBurton.
"We see as much of each other as any couple, but ourrelationship is enhanced by knowing we have our personal spaceto retreat to. It's not enforced intimacy. It's chosen, whichis quite flattering, if you can afford it," she said about herrelationship with the 52-year-old filmmaker.
The couple live in Hampstead, North London with theirchildren Billy Ray, seven, Nell, three.
At night they sleep in their respective halves of theproperty, because of Burton's snoring and also because he isan insomniac who likes to watch television at night.
