New Delhi:

Timothee Chalamet surprised fans with an unexpected appearance at a lookalike contest held in New York City. The Wonka star drew cheers and screams as he mingled with attendees at Washington Square Park. Timothee Chalamet, who attempted to go incognito in a mask and baseball hat, sneaked through the crowd and approached two lookalikes who were posing for photos. The event, organised by YouTuber Anthony Po, attracted hundreds of people and promised a $50 prize for the best lookalike and drew thousands of RSVPs online.

At the contest. the contestants also answered questions about their French language skills, their aspirations to improve the world, and their feelings about Kylie Jenner, who is rumoured to be dating Timothee Chalamet. The contest concluded with Miles Mitchell, 21, from Staten Island, winning in a Willy Wonka costume. He amused the crowd by tossing candy from a briefcase.

As per AP, one imitator was led away by police who apparently responded to the event because of the large crowd, which was forced to relocate.
