Film and television actor SushantSingh is scouting for some new kinds of roles now, saying thathe is tired of playing a villain or a "serious person" all thetime.
"I have tried not to get branded as a villain or aserious person in the movies. I am tired of this image,"Sushant, who came into limelight playing a villain in RamGopal Varma's 200 film Jungle, told PTI here.
The actor said despite his aversion to doing negativeroles anymore, he keeps getting offers to play a baddie.
"In the beginning I was portrayed as an angry youngman and then I got the tag as someone good at playing a highlyemotional character," he said, adding that he can't help it.However, Sushant said his latest film, Yeh SaaliZindagi directed by Sudhir Mishra, has him essaying adifferent role.
"After this film, I hope the directors will offer medifferent roles," the actor said.
He said 80 per cent of the film directors in Bollywoodprefer to cash in on stardom, and so an actor's "ready-madeimage" plays a significant role.
But in the past two years, films starring big actorshave not been successful, but those based on a good scripthave done well, he said.
