Shilpa Shetty Crushes Monday Cardio. Two Words - "Bhangra Power"

The actress shared the video and asked her followers to keep exploring ways to make fitness fun

Shilpa Shetty is one of the fittest actresses in the industry today, thanks to her intense workout routines and healthy eating habits. But Shilpa also always remembers to keep things fun and interesting. For instance, after a strict week of only healthy eating, she indulges in her signature "Sunday binge". Similarly, she also keeps her workouts interesting by adding a good dose of laughter and dancing. Need proof, take a look at her Instagram. In her latest video, she is seen working out in the gym when her husband, businessman Raj Kundra walks up to her and says, "Bhangra power. Come on." What happens next is too good to miss.

Shilpa begins to incorporate some bhangra steps into her exercise to add some zing to the cardio workout routine. She is grooving to the track Sadi Galli from the film Tanu Weds Manu. She can be heard saying, "It is not as easy as it looks."

In the caption, the 46-year-old wrote, “Cardio is not boring, you need to be exploring.” On a serious note, Shilpa further added the benefits of cardio workout. “An extreme lower-body-focussed high-intensity Interval Training Drill, which conditions the heart and lungs as well. Burn more calories in less time. Making it fun by adding Bhangra Arms; and yes, adding ‘arms will burn more calories,” she wrote.

The star further told us how to execute cardio, the “SSK” way. Shilpa stated, “Try performing 3 to 4 rounds of 1 minute each. Rest for 1 minute after every round. Increasing the platform height will increase the intensity. If you are a beginner, start with 30 seconds per round on a 4" or 6" platform.”

In her previous post, Shilpa Shetty gave us a glimpse of her weekend hair spa routine. The Baazigar actress shared a video on Instagram showing off her voluminous hair. Explaining further in the description, Shilpa wrote, “A good hair day made even better. It's truly the joy of little things in life.” Well, we can take a lesson or two from Shilpa on how to add some fun to the most mundane tasks.
