Tisca plays Anil Kapoor's wife in the desi version of the TV series.

Actress Tisca Chopra, who will beseen in the Indian adaptation of popular American espionagedrama 24, is confident that the show will create a new setof TV audience.
The Hindi version, which has borrowed the same namefrom the original one, is written by director Rensil D'Silva. The showis being directed by Abhinay Deo and produced by Bollywoodactor Anil Kapoor, who also features in the lead.
It will premiere in August.
"The show is not a risk for me... It is a hugefranchise. I am quite happy to be part of such a show whichoffers good content. It is an amazing show and I have lovedthe original version. With the format of this show I am sureit will develop a new set of audience," said Tisca.
The series will see Anil step into actor Kiefer Sutherland's shoes for the role of Jack Bauer, ananti-terror squad leader, while Tisca will essay the role ofhis character's wife.
"I have an exciting role to play in the show. It's achallenging role and I'll get to do things I have never donebefore. The role is different from what it is there in theoriginal show. It is a huge opportunity to get to do a showlike this," she added.
Tisca's role as a mother of a school boy in TaareZameen Par was much appreciated.
In this show, she will againbe seen in the role of a mother of the characters played bynewbies Adhish Khanna and Sapna Pabbi.
She has already started shooting for the show. Tisca,who makes her small screen debut with the show,feels that the content on television has improved.
"TV as a medium had to grow and it is growing. Thereare lots of formats on the small screen - daily soaps,reality shows, shows like CID, etc. Today's audience isgetting a lot of variety to see," she said.
