Actress Tisca Chopra will behosting a television show focusing on the real life criminalsliving under the burden of guilt in the aftermath of theirdeeds and their resolve for redemption.
Produced by Saregama India Ltd, Prayaschit, GunahonKe Zakhm, is a show based on the real life crime storiesrecreated and shown through the eyes of the criminals.
Prayschit... showcases stories of Seema Parihar, knownas the second Bandit Queen, Laxman Gole who was sucked intothe vortex of crime after he slashed his neighbor with a razorand went on to form one of the dreaded gangs in the suburbanKurla and that of Samunder Singh who was tricked by hisfriends to stab a Christian nun among others, who will alsoreveal their dark deeds.
"I am honored and privileged to be part of this show.There is a thin line between doing crime and being a normalpersonand you will not know when you will cross the line ofcrime. Everyone gets a second chance and so these peopleshould also get," Tisca, who had acted in Taare Zameen Parsaid.
"No one is born as a criminal, it is the circumstancesthat make you a criminal," said Parihar.
Explaining the concept behind the show, SonyEntertainment Television, Senior EVP and Business Head, SnehaRajani, said "audiences will get to see stories of real lifecriminals who have committed heinous acts and are now seekingredemption. This is an innovative concept".
