New Delhi:
The Indian box office will be taken over by an adamantium clawed mutant today as the much-awaited Hugh Jackman starrer The Wolverine hits the screens here.
Directed by James Mangold, the film is the sixth installment in the X-Men franchise and and follows the events of X-Men: The Last Stand (2006). It brings Wolverine out of America to modern-day Japan where he faces a life or death battle that compels him to come out of his comfort zone and push his boundaries.
The film throws light on the human side of the mutant, who after killing his love interest Jean Grey in The Last Stand has given up his life of a superhero and instead lives as a recluse in Yukon, Japan.

At Yashida's residence, it is revealed that the old man wants to be an immortal just like Logan. In addition, he wants him to serve as his granddaughter's personal bodyguard and promises him to rid him of his curse - immortality.
