New Delhi:
Two biggies from Bollywood and Hollywood face-off at the box office today. The '60s are calling with Bombay Velvet, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the film traces Johnny Balraj's journey from cage-fighter to 'bigshot' with the help of Parsi businessman Kaizad Khambatta in the film. A jazz singer named Rosie Noronha complicates matters. Ranbir and Anushka star as Johnny and Rosie with Karan Johar as Kaizad.
The film co-stars Kay Kay Menon, Siddharth Basu and Satyadeep Misra and was certified A by the Censor Board, which revised the rating to U/A a few days ago.
Also up for release today is the fourth film of George Miller's Mad Max franchise - Fury Road. 30 years after the last instalment, Tom Hardy inherits Mel Gibson's role of 'Mad' Max Rockatansky.
Mad Max joins Furiosa (Charlize Theron), a fugitive imperator in a post-apocalyptic world and her band who are all trying to escape a savage warlord.
The film had a world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday.
