Filming of Tom Cruise's latest movieAll You Need is Kill sparked terror among residents ofHerfordshire recently after sound of gunfire from the studiorang out across the neighbourhood.
Frightened residents in the Hertfordshire village ofAbbots Langley called police on Thursday night to report gunshots being fired, prompting officers to launch aninvestigation, reported Sun online.
They soon discovered the gunfire had been coming from thenearby Leavesden Studios, where Cruise has been filming hisnew movie with actress Emily Blunt.
A representative for the studios then confirmed the shotswere part of rehearsals for the movie.
"At around 9pm on Thursday, police received two reportsof the sound of distant gunfire from members of the public inthe Abbots Langley and north Watford areas," a policespokesman said.
"Officers contacted security at Leavesden Studios whoconfirmed that rehearsals involving the use of firearms hadbeen taking place there during the evening," he added.
