London:
Tom Cruise took home his codpiece from Rock of Ages for Katie Holmes.
The actor plays 80s rocker 'Stacee Jaxx' in the film and kept a bejewelled, dragon-shaped codpiece - used in a scene where he beds two women - for his wife.
He told E! news: "Yeah, I wear it and I keep it."
When asked how Katie reacted to being presented with such an interesting memento, he added: "She laughed. It's hilarious."
Tom also told how his rocker's make-up for the role scared their six-year-old daughter, Suri. The 49-year-old actor explained: "When I had the eyeliner on, and the painted nails, she was a little taken aback by that. She was like, 'What is happening to my daddy?'"
Tom also acknowledged the more outrageous side of his character, and said he hopes he has been able to straddle a line between his comedy aspects and human side in the film.
He added: "I wanted to play it real, but also we needed the comedy, because he's got to be outrageous. Yet, I wanted to play it totally straight and have these different moments that evolve."
