New Delhi: Transgender athlete and reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner is trending after she was featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated wearing her Olympic gold medal.
Then 26, Bruce Jenner won the decathlon event at the Montreal Games in 1976.
40 years later and now a transwoman, Caitlyn Jenner returns to cover Sports Illustrated, as she did four decades ago, wearing a gold jumpsuit and the medal.
Ms Jenner posted the cover image along with a 22-minute video made by the magazine depicting her life after the gold medal on Facebook.
"The games were a place where I could for one time of my life be as good as I wanted to be and that's what that medal represents to me," Caitlyn says in the video.
Caitlyn Jenner transitioned in April 2015, publicly announcing her name change in July 2015. Her name and gender change became official on September 25 last year.
