New Delhi:
Daisy Shah, who will be soon seen in
Ramratan, told news agency IANS that she wants to star in a biopic (if made) of Mumtaz. Daisy Shah says that her life is quite similar to that of the
Ram Aur Shyam actress. "She was also a dancer and then became an actress so in that way, I relate with her. So I think if I get the chance, I would like to work in a biopic on Mumtaz," said Daisy Shah, who was a dancer in choreographer Ganesh Acharya's team before she debuted opposite Salman Khan in
Jai Ho.
Daisy said that taking
Salman Khan's advice before signing a film is of primary importance to her. The
Hate Story 3 actress told IANS: "Since I am his protegee, it's my solemn duty to do that. He also said he has heard a lot about our director (of
Ramratan) and I think that's why he gave me the thumbs up to do this film, under a very experienced director."
Of the reports of her co-starring in
Race 3 opposite Salman Khan, Daisy said: "Back when
Jai Ho released, I spoke to Ramesh sir. He had considered me for a role in
Race 3 and then it was declared that our film (
Jai Ho) was an 'average film.' But now everyone's mind set has changed, and if people think that I am doing
Race 3, then I really hope it happens soon."
Daisy Shah's
Ramratan is directed by Govind Sakariya and also stars Rishi Bhutani, Mahesh Thakur and Rajpal Yadav.
