Tripti Dimri's upcoming film Qala is making all the right noises. Adding to the list of intriguing sneak peeks of the much-awaited Netflix film is Tripti's new post on Instagram. The actress, late on Sunday, shared an image of herself and co-star Babil dancing together. Dressed in elaborate costumes, the two only have eyes for each other in the picture. Along with the intriguing image, Tripti also wrote a note for Babil's character Jagan. She wrote, “Dear Jagan, your voice has the power to heal broken hearts and lift sunken spirits. No wonder why Mumma is always so starstruck by you…I aspire to be as good as you, I aspire to be YOU,” tagging Babil. FYI: Babi is late actor Irrfan Khan's son.

Interestingly, Tripti Dimri has also changed her Instagram display name to that of her character in the film. The name on her bio now reads, Qala Manjushree. She also seems to have archived her older Instagram posts, with her timeline now exclusively dedicated to images from Qala.

Soon after sharing the image with Babil, Tripti Dimri also shared a photo of her co-star Swastika Mukherjee with a note. In it, she wrote: “Behind every successful woman, is another woman who supported her, and for me it is my mother. #AppreciationPost for Mumma for being my harshest critic. My music starts and ends with you. Making you proud everyday is all that I live for.”

In another picture of Tripti Dimri and Swastika Mukherjee shared over the weekend, the actress added the note: “All that I was, all that I am, all that I will ever be is because of you Mumma.”

Recently, Babil also shared a still from the film and wrote, “I have never been fond of the word ‘debut' or it's implications as the story is and will always be greater than the individual; let's say the first time I worked in a film as an actor was a period of rigorous personal evolution through a very difficult time. For this I am exceptionally grateful to the makers of this film and of this universe.”

Qala, described as a “heart-breaking story of a daughter who craves her mother's love,” has been directed by Anvita Dutt. Anvita, Tripti and Netflix have previously collaborated for the 2020 feature Bulbbul. Qala releases on Netflix on December 1.
