Chennai:
Actress Trisha definitely loves her friends! That's probably why she agreed to be the show stopper in Sidney Sladen's fashion show that was held recently in the city.
And yes, the pink outfit was a surprise gift from Sidney to his best friend. "Well, Sidney and I go a long way. We have been best friends from 2002 and whenever he hosts a fashion show, it's been a sentimental moment for all of us. I make sure I'm always with him and walk the ramp in all his shows."
Talking about the show stopper dress she wore for the show, Trisha reveals, "When it comes to the show stopper dress, I'm the mannequin for him. But this time, it was a little surprise. Though I was present throughout, I didn't know about this dress. In fact, I was delighted to see it during the fitting session."
As she talks about her ramp days, Trisha also mentions that her love for films is still stronger than her passion for modelling. But has she decided to do just one film a year?
"Of course not! It's not really been a while because I just gave a hit, Mankatha with Ajith. Also, I'm not going back to modelling. I generally take such shortbreaks to keep in touch with my close buddies."
The actress is now currently doing Samaran with Vishal and is also working on two Telugu projects, 'Bodyguard' and Dammu.
"We haven't started shooting for Samaran yet. Vishal has always been a good friend. So I'm sure shooting will be fun. In Telugu, I'm doing Bodyguard with Venkatesh sir and Dammu with junior NTR. So, I will be back in action soon," she smiles.
However, Trisha is not planning to do any Hindi films for now after Khatta Meetha. In fact, she has no regrets about not playing the female lead in Ek Deewana Tha, the Hindi remake of VTV.
"For now, I have no plans to take up any Hindi projects. And I really don't have any regrets about not working in Ek Deewana Tha. It's completely a different genre and for a different crowd. So, I feel Amy Jackson will do justice to that character," she says and signs off.
