London:
Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto says she felt drained and exhausted after shooting the new movie Trishna in rural India.
The 27-year-old actress, who plays the titular character and shot the film in Rajasthan, said the drama was a struggle to get through, reported Contactmusic.
"Sometimes I feel that this film has drained everything out of me. I had nothing left. When I shot Slumdog Millionaire, I felt like I was shooting in my backyard. But when I was shooting in rural India, it felt like a different world. I learned a lot, I learned to milk a cow!," she said.
Trishna, directed by Michael Winterbottom, is a modern-day adaptation of Thomas Hardy's novel Tess of the d'Urbervilles.
