On Tuesday, the makers teased fans with a promo of sorts in which they informed viewers about the film's official social media handles. Kabir Khan told Mumbai Mirror that they used children from Salman's Galaxy Apartments to record the background voice in the video. "Salman and I decided to use a chorus by kids for the teasers but we didn't want to get trained kids to do it. So he suggested we round up a bunch of kids from his building and do it in a fun way," he said.

Tubelight is Salman and Kabir Khan's third collaboration after Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Kabir told news agency IANS that Salman's performance is "five times better" in this film than it was in Bajrangi Bhaijaan. "Salman will be seen in a completely different way in the film (Tubelight). If people have thought that Salman's performance is special in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, then his performance in Tubelight is five times better than it," he said.

Tubelight also stars Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and child artiste Matin Rey Tangu. Shah Rukh Khan has a cameo in the film, which will release on June 23, two days before Eid. (With IANS inputs)
