New Delhi:
Vidya Balan's Tumhari Sulu, which had a 'slow start' on its release day witnesses a 'superb' growth on Saturday. The film received a great response from the audience on Friday and has made Rs 7.48 crore in two days. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted and wrote: Tumhari Sulu witnesses a SUPERB 60.63% growth on Sat... Biz on Sun will only go higher... Fri 2.87 cr, Sat 4.61 cr. Total: 7.48 cr. India biz." Well, this is definitely great news for the makers of the film and Vidya Balan, who features as Sulochana or Sulu, a housewife-turned-RJ, in Tumhari Sulu.
Earlier, Taran Adarsh had tweeted that the film is expected to 'register robust growth over the weekend' and today he tweeted that the figures will 'only go higher' for Tumhari Sulu.

In his review for NDTV, of Tumhari Sulu, film critic Raja Sen wrote: "Vidya Balan plays Sulu, and she is superb in the part." She is a character filled with an indefatigable can-do spirit -- her refrain in the film is a constant Main kar sakta hai -- and we can see the wheels turning behind her head as she comes up with idea after idea. Balan plays this prize-gathering character like one of those unfocussed bright folks who are so good at everything they try that they find it hard to find out where they truly excel. Everything gives Balan's Sulu an idea and, rather irresistibly, she likes everything. "Mereko sab cheez mein bahut mazaa aata hai," she says, defining herself in a nutshell without even trying.
Vidya Balan is happy and grateful to be receiving good, positive and full of love feedback for Tumhari Sulu. She shared a picture on Instagram and thanked her fans.
The film is directed by Suresh Triveni and also stars Neha Dhupia.
