Manish in a still from Chidiya Ghar
Mumbai:
Actor Manish Vishwakarma, best known as Mendak Prasad from the TV show Chidiya Ghar, has slipped into a coma after he met with an accident. However, doctors say that he is 'out of danger and there is hope for recovery'.
The 19-year-old was admitted to the city's King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital after he met with an accident and was hit by a car from the back on Sunday while he was on his way to the sets of the show on his bike. He has been on ventilator since then. Blood clots were found in his brain. His co-star Aditi Sajwan says he wasn't given proper treatment at KEM Hospital and was later taken to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital for better treatment.
"The last three days have been very terrible for all of us - Manish's team, his family and friends. Manish is such a young boy and always full of life. To see such a person in such grave state is simply unbearable," Aditi said in a statement.
"We're just trying to keep calm, and every waking minute we're praying for his life. He's suffered a lot, more so because of the negligence and inhuman attitude of KEM hospital and it's staff.
"Anyways, Manish has multiple blood clots in his brain and is kept on a ventilator . The doctors at Kokilaben have said that he's out of danger and there is hope for recovery. It's an appeal to everyone, our fans well-wishers, that please pray for Manish," added Aditi.
