TV actress Ragini Nadwani heads to Bollywood with Dehraadun Dairy

TV actress Ragini Nadwani heads to Bollywood with Dehraadun Dairy
Ragini hopes that audiences appreciate her in the same way as they did her in the television show.
New Delhi: After being seen as an unconventional bahu Lovely in Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein, Ragini Nadwani is set for her Bollywood debut with Dehraadun Dairy that focuses on flawed system in the country. She hopes that audiences appreciate her in the same way as they did her in the television show.

Directed by Milind Ukey of Paathshaala fame, the film is due for a November 23 release and also features Adhyayan Suman and Rohit Bakshi.

"It is a film that every common man will be able to relate to. It talks about fight against flawed system in the country where there is so much corruption. In the film, I am one of the victims of the flawed system. It is about ordinary people who put up an extraordinary fight for justice," Ragini told IANS on phone from Mumbai.

"I really didn't have to prepare a lot for my role as it is very much like me, what I really am in real-life. So it was easier for me to adapt the role," added the actress who considers herself lucky to have got such a break.

"Films are a big canvas and Dehraadun Dairy is a big jump for me. I hope people accept me in the same way as they have on television," she added.

Television has given her a lot of exposure, "but it is very different from films...It has been a very different experience," she said.

However, managing the daily soap and film shoot was tough.

Ragini said, "It was difficult to manage both the things, but I didn't want to leave the opportunity that came my way through this film. Fortunately, everything went off smoothly."
