New Delhi: Actor Sanjay Mishra, known for his role in the award winning Hindi sitcom Office Office, says that the standard of comedy on television has gone from bad to worse.
"Television nowadays has nothing new to offer. There used to be a time when good shows with the format of limited episodes used to come but that is something that does not happen at present," Sanjay said when asked about comedy shows and his comeback to the small screen.
"Be it news channel or the shows, everyone is making a fool of audiences. Earlier, there used to be one newspaper, one radio and TV channel with news once a day but now it is 24 hours. They make anything news," the 48-year-old actor said in an interview.
He confessed that he doesn't watch television and will go back to it only if he gets something good to do.
"In case I don't get good movies then I will do television to earn my bread, but then it has to be a good show like Office Office," said Sanjay who was seen in films like Phas Gaye Re Obama, Aloo Chaat, Golmaal and Bombay to Goa.
The actor has ventured into direction; his directorial debut Pranaam Walekum will release this year.
