Actor Rishi Kapoor is compensating for an self-imposed five year Twitter exile that he ended in February with a positive storm of tweets on subjects ranging from current affairs to family matters. Not a day seems to go by now without a tweet, sometimes controversial, from Mr Kapoor's handle @chintskap, which was verified on March 24.
The actor's social media outspokenness resulted in a phone call from Dimple Kapadia, Mr Kapoor's heroine in Bobby and Saagar, in which she appears to have both berated him as well as given his Twitter commentary an endorsement.
Morning Dimple Kapadia called to scold/praise me for my tweets.Sweet of her concern. Akshay too spoke I told him Gabbar looks good!Good luck

However, she also seems to have broken her former co-star's heart.
We have worked in 3 maverick films. Bobby,Sagar and Pyar mein Twist which remain favourites. She doesn't want to work anymore that's a downer

Rishi Kapoor, 62, has commented on India-Pakistan dynamics and the death anniversary of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, among other topics:

Mr Kapoor reportedly faced some heat after he criticized the beef ban in Maharashtra on Twitter, and responded in typically humorous manner:
My future. After all the bashing I have got and threats to boycott my films ab bas Ye hi reh gaya hai! pic.twitter.com/m9EKqj4SBX

He also issued a health warning in a later tweet:
Ok Twitter is verifying me- blue tick until then just stick. And why don't people have any sense of humour?Dont take all of me so seriously
