An unheard mujra, sung byAsha Bhosle and set to tune by Madan Mohan, was released onthe occasion of the composer's 87th birth anniversary (June 25).
Hum hosh lutakar mehfil mein, sung by Asha in herinimitable style, was recorded in the early 70s for a filmthat was never released.
The song can be heard on the musician's website, whichis maintained by his family.
The legendary composer, who passed away in 1975 at theage of 51, left behind various tunes which remainedunutilized. Some of these were used as the music score ofVeer Zaara and won wide appreciation and many awards.
Many songs recorded in his lifetime remained unheardas the films were incomplete or not released.
Fifteen such songs were released in an album TereBagair in 2009, to mark his 85th birth anniversary.
