Los Angeles:
The Scream star loves to play games with four-year-old Usher V and Naviyd Ely, three - his sons with former wife Tameka Foster - and revealed tag and water fights are family favourites.
He told People: "On Memorial Day (28.05.12), [we had a water fight], we used bottles of water and got totally soaked. Naviyd won. It was a hot day, and it just happened. I love fun times like that.
"The last game we played was 'it.' You know, like tag. The boys love to run around and play games with me; I'm a kid at heart."
While Usher, 33, is devoted to his kids, he admits they do test him sometimes and he has to lay down the law.
He said: "I took them to my mother's house, she lives about two minutes away from me.
"Naviyd is addicted to peppermint, but he had already had dinner and dessert. So I told him he couldn't have any candy, and he walked off. A couple of minutes later, when he thought I couldn't hear, he was asking my mother if he could open a peppermint candy. He was trying to manipulate the situation."
Usher releases his seventh studio album Looking 4 Myself today (12.06.12) and promises it's his most personal record to date.
He said: "I do talk about my relationships. I talk about my shortcomings, my transitions and my tumultuous story. This album is about my evolution. I like talking about what I feel."
Usher launched Looking 4 Myself in London last night (11.06.12) with a livestream of his concert at the Hammersmith Apollo as part of the American Express Unstaged series. The gig can be viewed at www.youtube.com/UsherVEVO.
