New Delhi:
The Yeah singer was left devastated when 11-year-old Kile Glover - the son of ex-wife Tameka Foster - was killed in a jet ski accident earlier this year and says the youngster was a huge part of his life.
He said: "I miss Kile. We cooked together, we laughed, we sang. He loved to sing and dance. He loved to tell jokes."
Usher - who was recently given primary custody of his and Tameka's two sons, Usher Raymond V, four and three-year-old Naviyd - insists he went to Kile's funeral as well as the burial service and gets upset when people say he wasn't there.
Speaking on TV show 'Oprah's Next Chapter', he said: "It hurts me to hear people speculating that I wasn't at the funeral. I absolutely was at the funeral. I was at the burial as well."
Before the accident, Usher and Tameka were already embroiled in a custody battle, but temporarily put aside their differences when tragedy struck.
He said: "I asked that we not go back to court. It was a personal request that I made to the judge, it was a personal request that I made to Tameka that in this time of grievance that she take that moment to deal and let's deal with this later."
