London:
American singer Usher says he was planning a duet with Amy Winehouse before her death last year.
The 33-year-old "Yeah!" hitmaker said that he had approached Winehouse's producer Salaam Remi for his desire to work with her but could not get enough time to hit the studio with her, reported Contactmusic.
"There were a few conversations that took place, but we never quite made to it. I would have loved it. It could have been one of the most incredible records ever. A voice like that comes once in a lifetime," he said.
Usher also said that he met Winehouse once and really liked her.
"We talked and exchanged information and I invited her to a show and she didn't come," he added.
