UTV Motion pictures, the films division of Mumbai-based UTV Group, has inked a deal with South Indian film producer-director N Lingusamy's Thirrupathy Brothers film media to co-produce three Tamil movies.
The first film Vazhakku En 18/9 would be directed by director of Kadhal and Kalluri fame Balaji Sakthivel, while the second film Vettai, to be released in November 2011, would be directed by Linguswamy himself and a third untitled film in 2012, to be directed by Prabhu Solomon an official release here said.
With this association, UTV Motion Pictures would have six releases in Tamil cinema, beginning with Vikram and Anushka starrer Deivathriumagal, followed by Cheran and Prasanna starrer Muran, and three films with Thirrupathy Brothers and Mysskin's Mugamoodi starring Jiva, it added.
UTV Motion Pictures under its banner has already produced the Hindi flick No One Killed Jessica, Raajneeti, Udaan, A Wednesday, Jodhaa-Akbar, Rang De Basanti, the release added.
