At a time when the success graph of a movie depends on whether it enters the Rs.100 crore club, actor Varun Dhawan says he wants people to appreciate Badlapur for its cinematic values, rather than focus on the business it generates. (Also read - 2015 a Make or Break Year for Me: Varun Dhawan)
The actor tweeted.
#badlapur is a film I have not done for money and for me the film will work only if the public appreciates what we have done cinematically

Varun, son of filmmaker David Dhawan, took to micro-blogging site Twitter to clear the air about an article, in which he says, he has been misquoted.
With just three films in his kitty - Student Of The Year, Main Tera Hero and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Varun will be seen in a different look in Sriram Raghavan's dark, intense revenge drama.
Badlapur, which is all set to release on February 20, also stars Huma Qureshi, Yami Gautam and Vinay Pathak in key roles.
