Versatile artiste Nutan Prasad passed away at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad on Wednesday due to prolonged illness.
Nutan Prasad entered the Telugu film industry in 1973 with the movie Andala Ramudu, which had Akkineni Nageswara Rao playing the lead.
Films like Needa Leni Aadadi (1974), and Muthyala Muggu (1975) made his position secure in the industry. There was no looking back for the actor after that. It was Nutan Prasad, who was instrumental in inspiring writers to create negative roles for actors.
Nutan Prasad was well-known for his voice modulation and his dialogues remain popular even today. The actor met with an accident while shooting for Bamma Mata Bangaru Bata and broke his back in 1989.
The accident made him stick to wheel chair. He almost quit acting after that and only did cameos in some movies later. He bagged Nandi Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1984 and NTR National Award in 2005.
